The equipment agreement will see Woosnam work with Hippo over the next few years to develop and use Hippo irons. Woosie will also carry a Hippo bag and wear Hippo headwear.
Woosnam commented, “It’s great to team up with Hippo again and I am confident that my new Hippo equipment will help me return to the top of the leader boards in the very near future”.
The former US Masters winner and World Number one went on to say, “I am really looking forward to working with Hippo on the equipment side of things”.
Darren Phillips, Marketing Manager for Hippo Golf, said, “Having a household name like Ian Woosnam back onboard is a tremendous acquisition for us. We feel there is great synergy between Ian Woosnam and Hippo, as we both have a long tradition in the game as well as having had success at every level”.
Phillips went on to say “We are also looking forward to Ian working closely with our design teams on some exciting new product lines going forward”.
Under the terms of the sponsorship, Hippo also has advertising and endorsements rights for Woosie during the same period.
